VERSE NO. 21

      ``O, My people! Enter the Holy Land which Allah has prescribed for you.''

      As to the question that, what or where the Holy Land might have been, there are various answers. Some of the commentators have understood it to be Jerusalem or Palestine. Some have taken it to be Syria or the Land of Sinai. But we are of opinion that the land covers all the dominion of Syria, which is proved by history, to have been the cradle of the prophets, apostles and patriarch. It has been the land in which great Divine Religions appeared, and in the ocurse of history, that land has been the school for teaching monotheism, and practice of worshipping God.
