VERSE NO. 48

      And this verse implies that not only the inanimate idols can do nothing, even the arch prophets of God too, have no duty other than conveying God's message to His servants. They are mainly the bearers of glad- tidings, and to preach hope to the repentant, and warners to warn the rebellious, and evil doers, of the wrath of Allah that may come suddenly or openly upon them! There are only two means that may rescue them: ``Belief and act - good deeds and amendment through repentance and contrition.''
