VERSE NO. 43

      This verse raises a question that why did they not wake up in spite of all that treatments with hardship and suffering?

      Their negligence and indifference could have been due to one of two reasons or both:

      1) Their excess of heinous sins, and persistence in sinning with obstinacy, might have hardened their hearts and rendered them inflexible.

      2) Due to their adherence to caprices, Satan managed to tempt them, and adorn their evil deeds in their sight, so much so that they could easily do any shameful deed or indecency!
