It is disgraceful to adapt yourself to any inappropriate situation
Dear friends, it may happen to man as a divine test to face inappropriate situations in Islamic or non-Islamic countries being stuck among people who are indifferent and careless about their religion. Those people may encourage him to be like them, and at this time the temptations of Satan and ago whisper to him that it is excusable and inevitable adapting to such situation.
The level of morality, personality and the faith of each person can be manifested in such situation; those who are unstable like the foam moving with waves on water will sink in pollution, having resembled themselves to polluted people. They lose their human values because they have not realized the essence of humanity and sufficed to its superficies.
But you dear! Show your high value in such situations and manifest the strength of your faith and piety, demonstrate your independent personality and tell yourself "it is disgraceful to adapt to any inappropriate situation"
Prophets and their faithful followers always faced such situations; however, due to their patience and persistence they did not become like them but in contrary they changed the situation to suit their own style.
Only weak-willed and hesitant people adapt themselves to any situation being colored by environment, but strong people and courageous believers try to change the situation by building new better environments.
The main characteristic of the first group is blind imitation while chanting:
(1) «اِنّا وَجَدْنا آبائَنا عَلى اُمَّة وَ اِنّا عَلى آثارِهِمْ مُقْتَدُونَ»
"We indeed found our fathers upon a community, and we are following upon their traces"
But the second group tends to think and meditate, so they chose the best and their slogan is:
(2)«لاتَجِدُ قَوْماً يُؤمِنوُنَ بِاللّهِ وَ الْيَوْمِ الاْخِرِ يُوادّونَ مَنْ حادَّ اللّهَ وَ رَسُولَهُ وَ لَوْ کانوُا آبائَهُمْ اَو اَبْنائَهُم اَو عَشيرَتَهُم اولئِکَ کَتَبَ فى قُلُوبِهِمُ الاْيمانَ وَ اَيَّدَهُمْ بِرُوح مِنْهُ»
"Thou shalt not find any people who believe in God and the Last Day, loving those who oppose God and His Messenger, not though they were their fathers, or their sons, or their brothers, or their clan. Those -- He has written faith upon their hearts, and He has confirmed them with a Spirit from Himself"
Yes, the Holy Spirit helps them and the angels of God protect them and give them confidence and encourage them to patience and resistance.
O dear! If you are stuck in such situation put your trust in God, the sufficient protector; don not be afraid of "the abundance of corrupt"; pass this divine test successfully to achieve the benedictions of Allah and say:
(3) «قُل لايَسْتَوى الخَبيثُ وَ الطَّيِّبُ وَ لَو اَعْجَبَک کَثْرَةُ الْخَبيثِ فَاتَّقُوا اللّهَ يا اُولى الاَْلْبابَ لَعَلَّکُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ»
"Say: 'The corrupt and the good are not equal, though the abundance of the corrupt pleases thee.' So fear God, O men possessed of minds; haply so you will prosper."
This divine test has more importance especially for the youth of our era, because they are who can mount themselves on the wings of angels and fly in the sky of God's proximity by passing successfully this divine test.
